Julie Foster, Vocal Coach
Julie Foster is a performer, recording artist, and talented vocal coach. From New York to Austin and now State College, she has been a sought after talent both in the studio and on stage. Broadway world has hailed her voice as one of the best in Austin. Julie has had the incredible opportunity to have performed on New York’s biggest stages: Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Madison Square Garden. She has been seen on stage recently in The Great American Trailer, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Ring of Fire, and various cabaret performances. Her LP, “Another Year Round the Bend”, with singer/song writer Joe Thompson landed #53 on the Americana music chart.
Julie holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Pennsylvania State University with a focus on contemporary and musical theatre vocal technique. In 2011, Julie opened her voice studio in Austin and it quickly became the go-to destination for students to learn voice fundamentals and perfect their vocal skills. Central to her success is her ability to connect with each student, understanding that every student is unique. She is passionate about teaching the healthiest technique to give singers the ability to sing for a lifetime. Her approach builds voices to last throughout the demands of a professional career. Julie is excited to be now teaching in State College!
Julie is currently a member of The National Association of Teachers of Singing.
